This week we are celebrating the state I still consider home, New Jersey! While I don’t live there currently, I spent the majority of my life and the crucial development years there. Due to this, it’s still “Home” to me. Most media coverage, entertainment and stereotypes of New Jersey though come from the more Northern Parts of the Garden State. I was raised in South Jersey and due to this, that’s what we’ll be focusing on. It doesn’t get the credit or attention that it truly deserves. When most people hear “Jersey”, they think of artificial tans, big hair, Bruce Springsteen, the Sopranos and a LOT of Italian Americans. Nothing against any of those things, (I use my fair share of hairspray on a regular basis) but when I hear Jersey, I think of great restaurants, quality seafood and produce, amazing people and full beaches. So this week, you are going to experience my “Jersey”. So pack your beach chair, your flip flops and your hairspray… here we go!
